Bionic Steel Hose

Purchased their 50 ft. hose about 4 years ago. It has been good until now when it has begun to leak badly. The packaging on the hose said it had a "lifetime warranty" but I cannot find anywhere on their website as to how to contact them for a refund.

Love it! This is my second steel hose. Never kinks and much easier to hang back up!

Great product. Takes about 30 minutes to put together, the instructions are simple to follow, and it’s a sturdy design. Simple set up and that’s as simple as it gets.

Perfect water hose. I purchased these to replace heavy regular water hoses. These were exactly what I wanted. Lightweight. Easy to maneuver through the yard and easily pull back and place on the hose reel. Don’t hesitate to buy these.

I was a little worried taking it out of the plastic wrapper and it seemed as tangled as every hose before it, once I stretched it out for the first time, the steel seemed to "snap" and it was immediately easy to wind, after that it was a breeze to wind it on the holder I have had on the wall for twenty plus years, during my search for a hose that would be worthwhile, I have not used it repeatedly yet, I expect the same performance, if not, I'll post again... and the photo demonstrates, it's not a complicated "system", by the way, the hose ends are well designed, easy to secure and never leaked from the initial tightening, and the sprayer they included seems great as well, this was a great finish to my Friday projects list

Best hose ever!

The Bionic Steel metal garden hose fully meets the expectations of the reasons I purchased it. It is really flexible, and winds up tight on the hose rack to store in the garage. I did need to initially unwind the Bionic hose for its full length along the garage floor to untangle it from the tight wound wrap it was delivered in, but that is how I place a garden hose on my garage rack anyway, to make sure all the water is drained as I wind it up on the rack. It is definitely lighter than the composite hose I had thrown away due to permanent kinks. The quality of the end fitting casings on the bionic hose also appear to be rugged, heavy duty, and not just light plastic that will crack. As it is 56 deg F right now, I just hooked up to my exterior hose bibb to rise the car mats, and the bionic hose did not leak at the hose bibb or the included sprayer fitting. The sprayer stops the flow when closed without leaking, and easily adjusts from a wide spray to a full powerful stream. When the sprayer is closed and full pressure on the hose, it is not stiff and did not kink while I was using it an moving the hose around. everything you should expect from a garden hose. Excellent product for the price.

I had purchased Bionic 50 foot hoses before and they had served me well. For illustration, I have included pictures of the boxes and of a 50 foot hose connected to my outdoor faucet next to the 100 foot hose that failed. The issue appeared shortly after the one month Amazon return window closed. Since we had a wet spring, I had not watered until early August.I was watering when I shut off my sprayer to move to the next plant. A bubble formed in the plastic under the metal sheath and protruded out at the connection seam. By the time I had shut off the water at the faucet, the rupture had broken through the plastic bubble.It was only after the split happened that I noticed my 50 foot hoses were the "Pro" variety, and the end connection of a different and sturdier build. The "Pro" build hose is on the right in the faucet connection photo, arranged just as the boxes are in that photo.I will attempt to call the customer support number later to see what their '5 year warranty' actually means and how much it will cost me to get a replacement to my home. I will update this review if the customer support really is supportive.In the mean time, I suggest other shoppers look for the "Pro" version of this product, if it is still available, since that has been reliable for me (so far).Thank you for reading.The promised update...Calling the customer support number on the Amazon website reached a contact center that referred me to another support center. The second contact requested photos of the problem and the Amazon receipt. I had all of that documentation ready and sent it to the email address they provided.They have informed me via email at every step of their process. The replacement is on the way. This is customer service at its best, IMO. They honored their warranty after they had proof, which is all a customer like me hopes for.

I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews before I purchased this hose. This hose is essentially a very long shower head hose. The diameter and construction are the same. The only difference is that my shower head hoses did not leave a metallic residue on my hands when I handled them new. Despite the claims online and on the box of "heavy duty" - based on other reviewers comments of crushing, kinking and splitting - I would not call this hose 'heavy duty'. No more so than running a semi truck over my shower head hose would.When I first opened the plastic bag the hose came in, I was careful to lay the hose down so as to unwind it without tangling the 100 feet. It tangled nonetheless. No kinks, though! The hose does expand when water runs through it so it is a good idea to DRAIN the hose once water spigot is shut off. First use did emit a strong petro-chemical odor from the inside of the hose. This is particularly so because I'm in an area that's experiencing extreme heat so the hot water activated whatever residue is in the hose. I believe this will dissipate over time and use.For 100 feet, the weight of the product is manageable - much lighter than a 'heavy duty' rubber garden hose. Plenty of pressure through the nozzle that was included and my garden sprayer. I have used the hose a couple times and do recommend it with the caveat of durability. My usage is not such to involve the various incidents I read in other reviews but how long this hose lasts is yet to be determined. I would strongly suggest keeping the paperwork, receipt and box should the need arise to call up the "5-year warranty" for replacement of the product in the event of failure.Beware: Although the BOX clearly states the hose has a "5-year warranty", nowhere in the accompanying literature is this restated. (See photos) Further more, despite claims of indestructability in ads and videos, there is a paper included in the box titled "FOR BEST RESULTS" that clearly states not to leave the hose in extreme cold or heat, and other cautions. Enter binding "Arbitration Agreement". This page of fine print essentially prohibits the consumer from any loss or claim that results from the use of the product - defective or otherwise. Thank you.

No water pressure foul order can't drink from it. Bought to water our 50 animals. If I can't drink from it my animals will not either. Would like to return for a refund. Thanks

The hose is great! A little on the heavy side, but it's durable easy to move around, it was easy to connect it, but I used my own nozzle because the one that came with it was a little weak. But overall, I love it.

If I WOULD Have Seen S PICTURE OF THE HOSE , I Would’ve BOUGHT IT BECAUSE I HATE The LOOK & HOW HOT IT GET SITTING Out IN The Sun !

It Tangles up an isn't good for homes that have great water pressure ..hose strickens pressure .. also it's on the heavy'ish side as one is trying to water multiple gardens
